In this competition, individually registered dancers (not couples) will be randomly paired with a partner via a lottery system at the beginning of the contest.
In the first round couples will be required to dance to three different tempos: slow, medium, and fast. After which the judges will select 6 Leaders and 6 Followers to compete in the final.
In the final, dancers will be randomly paired together again, and be asked to dance to two pieces of music. For the first piece all couples will dance at the same time, for the second the couples will take turns to dance one at a time in a kind of jam session.

The judges will award the winners based on improvisation, energy, partner connection, musical interpretation, variety, creativity, and style!
