From the sublime sandy beaches of the East Coast of America to the sophisticated velvety shores of Senigallia. From the super cool Laguna Beach, Malibu and Santa Barbara of California, to the prestigious stage of the “Big Hawaiian Party of the Summer Jamboree”, the big Hawaiian party on the Adriatic Riviera!
On Wednesday 8 August, the surf-tastic sounds of California arrive in Senigallia (Marche – AN) with two icons of the genre; David Marks (Beach Boys) and Dean Torrence (Jan & Dean) together with the Surf City Allstars (USA) in a European exclusive for the Summer Jamboree #19.
They bring with them all the charm of the 1950s American dream, and their experiences that have built, and belong to the history of R’n’R. And immersed within the exotic scenery that caused Freddie Bell to exclaim that “Hawaii is in Senigallia!”, these two legends will play together on the same stage, re-living the unforgettable success stories of their time.
Together with Carl Wilson, David Marks helped to create the unique sound of the Beach Boys; that special surf guitar sound that made their hits so popular. Today, Marks continues to tour and perform, reproducing that carefree and uplifting energy every time he takes to the stage. And fans will be able to watch and enjoy him playing and singing pieces including Surfin’ Safari, Surfin’ USA, Surfer Girl, Catch a Wave, Little Deuce Coupe, 409, Shut Down, In My Room, and many others live on the beach.
In the same concert we will also hear the delightful Doo-wop harmonies of Dean Torrence, co-founder of the legendary duo Jan & Dean. Theirs is a story of music and friendship that began in high school in the 50s, and culminated in the pair surfing the crest of the wave of chart success. Today, Dean Torrence continues to perform their big hits around the world, such as Surf City, Heart and Soul (featured in the movie “Big” with Tom Hanks), New Girl in School, The Little Old Lady from Pasadena, Drag City, Honolulu Lulu… all songs that reached the top of the charts at the time.
The celebrations will then continue long into the night with the crazy antics of Greg, Max Paiella and the Jolly Rockers. Musicians, actors, authors, entertainers and familiar faces at the Festival, Greg and Paiella will combine their endless musical talents with fun floral shirts and an extra big helping of comedy! It wouldn’t be the Hawaiian Party on the beach without them!
With just the right mix of Surf, Doo-wop and Rock’n’Roll, the Big Hawaiian Party on the beach has become one of the Festival’s essential events. Over the years it has grown and grown thanks to the enthusiasm of its participants, becoming “the” party on the beach. The unmissable barefoot gathering on the most sought-after sand in the summer.
A special event at the Hottest Rockin ‘Holiday on Earth, with an incredible infectious energy. Where else can you combine spectacular live music in a fabulous carefree natural setting. With the hot sand under your feet, a sea of Hawaiian shirts and floral dresses, the glamour of the 50s, sunset by the sea, and R’n’R all night long.
All over the world, people are booking for the hottest summer vacation there is! So save the date, and get yourselves to Senigallia for 8 August!

“The beach becomes a stage, a story that later unfolds on Facebook and Instagram. In the background you can hear the murmur of the waves, so beautiful, and the sky is tinged with pink and music. Love scenes are born on the beach, hands are held, they point to stars, exchanging sweet kisses. Young people full of innocence. Maybe one day they will tell their grandchildren about their first love on the beach of Senigallia, that time back ‘in the old days'”. Andrea Walter, MARE magazine
