Celine Lee (USA)

Celine Lee was born in Florida and grew up listening to the music of the 40’s and 50’s, from Frank Sinatra, and Elvis, to Hank Williams, and Patsy Cline. As soon as she was able, she started her own band (Celine and the Hellbillies), and then moved to New York to sing and tour with other local and national rockabilly bands. Her big break came when she met Honky Tonk legend Dale Watson at a gig, which led her to co-write 4 songs with the Country Music Star for one of his EPs, and which featured herself on the cover! The songs she co-wrote were eventually re-recorded for Celine Lee’s debut self-titled album. With a mixture of influences ranging the likes of Peggy Lee to Wanda Jackson, Celine Lee has burst onto the US and European scene with a string of successful tours. Her gutteral growl and genuine firecracker stage presence is making audiences smile and beg for more.
